About Jackie Yurko: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
Jackie Yurko is a licensed Naturopath practicing in Edmonton, Alberta.
She graduated from the four year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, located in Toronto (the only accredited Naturopathic teaching institution in Canada at the time), in May 2000.
Upon graduation, Jackie successfully completed the North American Board of Naturopathic Education licensing exams in August 2000 and then received her license from the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Practitioners in September 2000. She is currently a member of both the Alberta Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Jackie initially began practicing in the southside Edmonton neighbourhood, Parkallen, in November 2000. In September 2004, her practice moved nearby to the Queen Alexandra neighbourhood.
Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine, Jackie completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta in 1996. Her primary passion lies in the area of women's health. Her interest in the area of women's health has been shaped and nourished by completing a minor in Women's Studies as part of her Bachelor of Science degree and through numerous volunteer activities and groups with which she has been involved. She is also interested in supporting people in making choices that are easier on their body, their health, and the earth.
